This novel called Tuesdays with Morrie teaches a young man a great life lesson. Morrie who was Mitch's sociology teacher at Brandeis and he was his teacher till he graduated taught Mitch valuable lessons and still teaches him. Morrie was upset that he was leaving so Mitch made a promise to keep in touch but that never happened because Mitch was so into work that he didn't have time with family and friends. Morrie is dying of ALS, a disease which ravages his body. Mitch seen Morrie on TV helping people with there problems and also realizes that he is suffering of a deathly illness and soon will die. So Mitch decides to make an appointment with him and he hasn't seen him in sixteen years. Mitch gets all nervous and trys to delay he greeting with him but he will soon have to face him and talk about his problems. They soon meet frequently every Tuesday and as Mitch visits him he sees that Morrie is slowly getting worse but there is nothing he can do he just has to watch him suffer everyday. Morrie taught him good lessons about life and told him not to waste his life working. He would bring a recorder to record Morrie's voice so when he pasted away he could always listen to them forever and know how to deal with him life and he can listen to Morrie's advice. Soon Morrie becomes very ill that he cant be able to see anyone but he insits that he can only see Mitch before he passes away. Soon Morrie passes and they still have there regular meetings just not at Morrie's house but in Mitch's head and takes Morrie's helpful advice and he gets his life figure out.192 pages1.
